Loved the oxtail and curry potatoes . Had me refreshed as well with a mojito and good service . Was told they have hookah night, Kareoke night and a live band the first and third Saturday of the month. Definitely coming back !
Really great spot, the atmosphere was relaxed with good music. Staff was very friendly and the building had a very chill feeling. Food was fantastic, the jerk wings had a sweet sauce with good heat, the rice and peas had good consistency, the cabbage had nice spice, and the plantains were cooked well. This is definitely a place I will come back to and try again!
I ordered thru GrubHub on January 9, 2025, and the driver never arrived to retrieve the order. The owner is dilution left his restaurant in clear Lake and drove all the way to Pasadena to deliver my food. I decided to return with my family, January 11, 2025 the pictures you see below we are enjoying our meal and we will definitely return to experience more!
So I'd like to preface this by saying that today is December 18th 2024 and the waitress told us the place will be closed for the next 9 days or so so check before coming in to make sure they're opened. Now because of this, a lot of items weren't available understandably. We had a limited menu so this will be based on that solely. And it was amazing. Everything tasted on point. We were treated very politely and told to simply pick a seat to our liking. The waitress was on us almost immediately. She told us our options and we ordered entrees and appetizers. Both arrived and tasted amazing. Definitely will be back here when in Houston again.
Service was great, the vibes were great, and the food was amazing! I'd been craving Caribbean food for some time and was happy to find Lucian's. We went in for lunch. The restaurant wasn't busy around that time—just a few other tables filled with diners. The music was lovely. Caribbean music is always a pleasure to listen to. I ordered an oxtail plate with macaroni pie, plantains, rice, and peas. My husband ordered curry shrimp with a salad, plantains, and white rice. Everything was delicious! To drink, we each ordered Sorrel, which was a little tangy because they add ginger to theirs. It was good, but not the best Sorrel I've had. I like mine without ginger. Every third Saturday, they do a thing called Island Vibz that starts with Karaoke from 7-9, and live music from 9 pm - 1 am.
This is my new favorite place. The food was absolutely delicious. Seasoned with just the right spices and generous portions as well.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at a hidden gem that serves incredible Caribbean cuisine. I ordered the Rasta pasta with Caribbean jerk chicken and a meat patty. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and the spices were perfectly balanced. The service was also top-notch, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. This place is definitely worth a visit if you're looking for authentic and delicious Caribbean food!
Me and my man just ate here, And it was amazing. The oxtail was the best we have ever had, And the coconut shrimp was cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend trying this place out! Our server Miguel was awesome and very attentive and had very good recommendations. We will be back !
